Eyeball is a design company located in Soho, New York City.
We exist at the merging frontiers of graphic design, film, advertising and visual communication. Fifteen years of pioneering and award winning work defines our evolving creative output, from strategy through execution and production. We create advertising campaigns, visual identities, films, and branded experiences for audiences of every variety and size.

Careless, maybe. Variegated, promiscuous, or even multifarious. The point is we tend not to use a
standard approach to our work. We avoid it actually.
We just make things that are interesting, relevant, informative and compelling. Our creative is always driven by the product or idea that is being advertised. We could talk about process and strategy and other overused concepts that are aimed at making clients comfortable, but the truth is that it's this nebulous combination of intuition, talent, experience and experimentation that makes great design.
We work simply to convey the chosen message and ultimately create a
business solution.
For 15 years our core business has been to partner with agencies to create breakthrough advertising and branded content. Often times a client will
come to us with a year of market research, a big media plan, and a creative strategy that's fleshed out and ready to go. Sometimes they come to us
because they need help figuring out how this sketch on a napkin could
become a 60 second commercial. We are equally at home in both situations.
When working with corporations directly we truly become an extension of a client's in-house marketing, branding or creative department. We move
swiftly by immersing ourselves with the team early on in the strategic and creative development stages.
Ultimately, our goal is to ensure our creative and production execution maximizes a client's desired return on investment and to develop relation-
ships from having enjoyed the creative process as much as the results.
Services
Conceptual Design
We are first and foremost a design-based studio. Diverse and fresh talent drawn from all parts of the world, led by our seasoned creative directors results in an incredibly well rounded approach to creative and strategic thinking. While our competitors are quick to arrive at glossy high production values, we always strive to ground our design process in solid conceptual thinking. We can often explore and gather design solutions far quicker and more powerfully than what would normally happen in a larger agency or corporate environment.
Live Action
Over the last 15 years we have directed and completed hundreds of spots that include live action married to visual effects. Pioneering many of the techniques used in commercial production, our experience ensures that our work is always reaching new levels. From motion control to studio setups to outdoor documentary shooting, we have done it all in service of our aesthetic approach. We have a keen understanding of the fundamentals that make the integration of live action and the design/post production environment seamless and flexible.
Production
Our production process is a balance of client services and protecting the creative. Our production staff have extensive backgrounds in film, advertising, visual effects and print. We have produced over a thousand projects since our inception and are constantly pursuing efficient and cost-effective processes in order to allow for maximum focus on the creative aspects of each individual project.
Visual Effects, CGI and 3D
Our design led approach to CGI has been in our blood since we were founded; 3D is another part of the multi-layered language that we speak with each day. From photo real automobiles and electronics to fun and lovable characters, fantasy worlds and detailed architectural environments, our CGI capabilities are award winning and innovative.
Editorial
Often we find that the editorial process needs to happen in a more fluid manner along with the other elements of post-production. We maintain a full in-house edit suite, and have access to a pool of top-notch editors to choose from based on the particular demands of the project at hand.
Motion Design
eyeball is known as one of the few innovative companies that launched the motion graphics industry. One of the first boutiques to be introduced, eyeball merged the design studio mentality with the production and animation process. Fifteen years later, it's flattering to find ourselves regarded as leaders in the industry and our process and history part of college curriculums around the world.
Space
A former sweatshop was transformed into a soothing, efficient design studio in 2005, adding another floor to our longtime location on Lafayette Street in Soho. Hyejin and Limore oversaw every detail of the project from the electrical layout to the conception and fabrication of custom blonde wood furniture that is built in throughout the space. It's a great, relaxing space to spend those long hours designing, animating and simply hanging out.
